Our New Class at Lights Out Boxing & Fitness

Are you ready to take your boxing skills to the next level? Introducing Fight Camp—our new program designed for adult members looking to go beyond the basics of fitness boxing and develop true technical and fighting skills in a safe, controlled environment.

Fight Camp is an ongoing program that focuses on mastering the technical elements of boxing, including:

  • Correct Punching Techniques: Master the fundamentals of boxing punches—jab, cross, hook, and uppercut—learning to throw them with precision, power, and proper form, while maintaining balance and defensive readiness.
  • Blocking & Parrying: Develop effective defense against incoming punches, using your gloves, arms, and shoulders to block or deflect shots with ease.
  • Footwork: Refine your movement, ensuring you’re always in the best position to strike or evade, while maintaining balance and control.
  • Distance Control: Understand how to manage range and create opportunities for offense or defense, keeping your opponent at bay or closing the gap as needed.
  • Sparring: Safely apply what you’ve learned in controlled, touch-contact sparring sessions, tailored to your skill and comfort level. Sparring will be closely monitored to ensure safety, with participants wearing appropriate protective gear.
  • Street Self-Defense: Learn practical, real-world techniques for self-defense that incorporate boxing fundamentals and help you stay calm and effective in unpredictable situations. This component will empower you to handle potential threats outside the gym using the skills you’ve developed.

Each week, you’ll attend a focused, 45-minute session where you’ll receive hands-on instruction from our elite coaching staff, led by Coach Gary—one of the top coaches in the country, with experience training both amateur and professional boxers. Under his guidance, you’ll build real boxing skills that go far beyond a typical fitness workout.

What sets Fight Camp apart is its emphasis on both learning and applying real-world boxing and self-defense techniques. You’ll be encouraged to practice what you learn during your regular Group Fitness Boxing classes, ensuring that each new skill becomes second nature.

Who Can Join?

To join Fight Camp, you’ll need at least 3 months of experience in our Group Fitness Boxing program. This foundation will ensure you’re ready for the technical training and light sparring involved. Safety is our top priority—sparring sessions are closely monitored, and all participants wear the necessary protective gear.

Commitment: The program requires an initial 3-month commitment, after which you can continue your journey as long as you like.

Whether your goal is to build real self-defense skills, improve your technique, challenge yourself beyond your current level, or taking the next step to becoming a Boxer in the ring, Fight Camp is the perfect next step.
